Shengyuan Lithium wins lithium ore minging right for RMB2.5 billion

Yichun Shengyuan Lithium Co., Ltd. has won the bid for the a 23-year mining right of a lithium-bearing ceramic clay deposit in Jiangxi for approximately RMB2.51 billion (USD345 million), compared with the starting price of just RMB280,000 (USD38,529), according to the Department of Natural Resource of Jiangxi Province.
The mining right covers an area of 0.843 sq.km, with total estimated proven lithium-bearing ceramic clay resources of 722 million tonnes, containing about 2.16 million tonnes of lithium oxide at 0.30% LiO2 on average. The mining right allows the company to mine 9 million tonnes of ore per year.
