Baoshan's silicon metal production up 4.8% YoY in Jan-Oct

China's Baoshan city reported a 7.4% decrease in the added value of industrial output by companies above designated size for the January-October period of 2024, 2.6 percentage points slower than the first nine months of this year.
From January to October, Baoshan produced 242,700 tonnes of silicon metal, up by 4.8% from the prior year period, and the production of polysilicon increased by 135% YoY to 140,400 tonnes while that of monocrystalline silicon decreased by 38.91% YoY to 40,700 tonnes.
