Baoshan's silicon metal output up 10.75% in Q1-Q3

China's Baoshan city reported a 10% decrease in the added value of industrial output by companies above designated size for the first three quarters of 2024, 4.4 percentage points slower than the first half of this year.
In Q1-Q3, Baoshan produced 221,000 tonnes of silicon metal, up by 10.75% from the prior year period, and the production of polysilicon increased by 119% YoY to 117,000 tonnes while that of monocrystalline silicon declined by 35.06% YoY to 38,500 tonnes.
