Huirong Mining awarded mining permit for Murong lithium mine

Yajiang County Huirong Mining Co., Ltd., invested by Chengxin Lithium, has been granted a mining permit for Murong lithium mine by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
The mining licence, valid until 2048, allows the company to mine 3 million tonnes per annum for lithium ore, niobium and tantalum at Murong lithium mine, which has proven mineral resources of 61.10 million tonnes at 1.62% Li2O, amounting to 989,600 tonnes of lithium oxide, making it the biggest hard rock lithium deposit discovered in Asia to date and one of the highest grade lithium mines in Sichuan, China.
Chengxin Lithium, which currently holds a total of 52.20% stake in Huirong Mining, said in an announcement that the mining permit would further ensure the supply of lithium raw material to the company.
