Baotou's rare earth compounds production rises 290% YoY in Jan-Aug

Baotou achieved a 14.7% increase in industrial added value above the designated size for the first eight months of 2024, recording a two-digit growth for the 48th consecutive month, according to the municipal statistics bureau.
During the January-August period, the city's production of polysilicon increased by 110%, monocrystalline silicon rose by 82.1%, rare earth ores increased by 1.8%, rare earth compounds surged by 290%, and single rare earth metals increased by 32%, all compared with the prior year period.
