Hoken begins production at special graphite project in Ningxia

On September 22, Jiangsu Hoken High Tech Material Co., Ltd. started production at its 53,000tpa special graphite project located in Yinchuan, Ningxia.
Construction of the project kicked off in June 2023 and was basically completed at the end of the same year. The project began trial production in late August 2024, less than one year since the main part of the project was completed.
With a total investment of RMB2.5 billion (USD356 million), the project covers a land area of 343Mu (22.87 hectares) and has a total floor area of 264,000 square meters. The first phase of the project, with investment of RMB1 billion (USD142 million), has an annual production capacity of 16,000t of high-purity special graphite and, when in full capacity, would achieve an annual production value of RMB1 billion (USD142 million), along with tax revenue of RMB300 million (USD42.75 million). The second phase, with a planned investment of RMB1.5 billion (USD214 million), will be able to produce 37,000tpa of special graphite.
