China's copper cathode output up 7.1% in first seven months

China's refined copper (copper cathode) production was 1.1 million tonnes in July 2024, up by 7.0% from the prior year period, and that of copper products increased by 1.3% year on year to 1.9 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to July, China produced about 7.77 million tonnes of copper cathode, up by 7.1% YoY, and 12.36 million tonnes of copper products, down by 1.3% YoY.
