GEM signs precursor supply MOU with ECOPRO BM

GEM has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ECOPRO BM CO., LTD., a lithium battery cathode materials subsidiary of South Korea's ECOPRO, on the strategic cooperation for secondary battery raw materials industry chain.
Under the MOU, the two sides will focus on production bases in Indonesia and South Korea to ensure globally competitive production and supply of battery raw materials and precursor to treat client demand as a priority, and establish a globally competitive industrial chain integrating nickel resource, precursor and cathode material. To meet the growing demand from American and European markets, ECOPRO BM will purchase an additional 265,000t of precursor from GEM during 2025-2028.
