1. Market Highlights
The domestic flat steel market performance this month remained less satisfactory than that in June. The quick price drop weakened the purchasing activities of end users to a large extent. Besides, the demand from downstream industries shrank further due to the heavy rains. Discouraged by the poor sales performance, both steel mills and traders showed little confidence in the market prospect.
In the meantime, the international flat steel market continued running slowly during the month. The downward price trend in China heightened the cautious attitudes of overseas participants.
