MMG's Q2 cobalt production jumps 31%

China's MMG reported production of 788 tonnes of contained cobalt in cobalt hydroxide from Kinsevere mine in Q2 2024, up by 31% from Q1 2024, and production of the metal reached 1,390 tonnes in the first half of this year. In June, Kinsevere completed the first shipment of 346 tonnes of contained cobalt.
Construction of the sulphide ore production line at Kinsevere's dressing plant has been completed, followed by the start of trial production. In addition, the mechanical construction of major equipment for calcination, gas purification and acid plant (RGA) has also been completed.
