Shandong Lingkai starts trial production at 1,000tpa LiFSI project

On July 1, Shandong Lingkai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Huasun Technology, began trial production at the 1,000tpa LiFSI production line of its phase one project. Construction of the project kicked off in April 2023 and took just 14 months to complete.
LiFSI is a new type of lithium salt that is a promising electrolyte additive for lithium-ion batteries. It has better thermal stability, electrical conductivity, moisture resistance and higher lithium-ion migration number compared with LiPF6. LiFSI is mainly used as an additive in electrolytes, and can also be used alone as a solute in electrolyte solutions.
