Shanxi stops mining licence extension for below standard mines

Shanxi will no longer give approval for new and expansion mining projects that fell short of some standards, including production capacity below 300,000tpa for bauxite, 300,000tpa for iron ore, 300,000tpa for copper ore, 100,000tpa for gold ore, 100,000tpa for manganese ore, 100,000tpa for metallurgical grade dolomite, and service life of less than five years (excluding construction period).Asian Metal Copyright .Asian Metal Copyright Starting from late 2025, the province will disallow any mining licence extension for substandard mines unless they manage to meet requirements through resource integration or capacity increase.
