Yongxing New Energy to upgrade lithium extraction project

Yongxing Special Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has allowed its wholly-owned subsidiary Jiangxi Yongxing Special Steel New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. to make a technical upgrade for its lithium extraction project with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate, in order to build a high-end, clean, low-consumption and low-cost lithium extraction production line.
With a total investment of up to RMB295 million (USD40.63 million), the upgrade project is expected to take 9 months to complete. When finished, the production line, which extracts lithium from lepidolite, will add two new products, including high-nickel battery grade lithium carbonate and high-purity lithium carbonate.
Yongxing Special Materials now has a total annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes of battery grade lithium carbonate.
