Tinci Materials secures large electrolyte order from CATL

Ningde Kaixin Battery Material Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tinci Materials, has inked an agreement to supply lithium battery electrolytes to Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) from the effective date of contract to December 31, 2025.
According to the agreement, the electrolytes to be supplied should contain around 58,600 tonnes (±5%) of lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6).
At 1 tonne of LiPF6 producing about 8 tonnes of electrolyte, the electrolytes to be supplied should be approximately 470,000 tonnes, which is more than the company's annual electrolyte sales of 396,000 tonnes, according to its latest annual report.
