On May 22, a 120ktpa NCM precursor production line reached full capacity after finished products came off production line at Brunp New Material Industrial Park in Ningde.
Brunp New Material Industrial Park is the first battery material project launched by Guangdong Brunp Recycling Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), in Ningde city and is also the biggest lithium battery upstream cathode materials project introduced by Fuding city. The industrial park broke ground in December 2020 and became partially operational in 2022 before reaching full capacity in late 2023. The first phase of the project was already put into operation, with production capacity of 120,000tpa of NCM precursor, 80,000tpa of NCM cathode material and 60,000tpa of iron phosphate precursor.
