China's Q1 copper cathode output up by 10% YoY

China's refined copper (copper cathode) production was around 1.15 million tonnes in March 2024, up by 7.9% from a year ago, and that of copper products declined by 6.5% year on year to 2 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first quarter, China produced about 3.36 million tonnes of copper cathode, up by 10% from the prior year period, and 4.86 million tonnes of copper products, down by 1.2% year on year.
