Guizhou Gravity Technology decreases output of mercury metal

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 18 Apr 24 - Guizhou Gravity Technology Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., a major producer of mercury metal 99.9%min in Guizhou, decreases their output of mercury metal to about 15t this month, a source from the company discloses to Asian metal.
"Due to tight supply of raw material, we decrease our output of mercury metal by about 10t MoM to roughly 15t this month", said the source, adding that consumers buy actively this week.
With an annual production capacity of 500t, they expect to produce approximately 15t this month, down by about 10t MoM. Holding about 6t in the warehouse, the producer produced about 300t in 2023 and estimate to produce less this year.
Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese mercury metal 99.9%min rise to RMB1,150-1,170/kg (USD158.7-161.5/kg) Ex-VAT EXW D/P, up by about RMB30/kg (USD4.14/kg) from early this week. Taking the tight supply into consideration, insiders anticipate that the prevailing prices of Chinese mercury metal would show an upward trend in the forthcoming week.
