Chinese PrNd oxide prices move down

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Apr 24 - Suppliers compete to sell in view of the rising prices in the recent days, so mainstream prices for Chinese PrNd oxide drop by RMB3,000/t (USD414/t) from yesterday to RMB380,000-385,000/t (USD52,494-53,185/t) today. Considering that suppliers have intention to firm their prices, insiders reckon that prices for Chinese PrNd oxide would hover at current level in the coming two days.
A consumer in Gansu revealed that today, he inquired from the market supplier about the quotation of PrNd oxide at RMB385,000/t (USD53,185/t) D/P, while yesterday, the quotation for the spot products was not lower than RMB388,000/t (USD53,599/t). "I finally purchased 5t yesterday at RMB383,000/t (USD52,909/t) D/P with the delivery at the end of the month," the consumer said, adding that more suppliers are shipping today, so prices for PrNd oxide might keep relatively stable at the current level.
With an annual consumption capacity of 8,000t, the consumer consumed about 650t last month and expects to consume the same volume this month, holding about 200t of stocks now.
A trader in Jiangxi disclosed that he offered RMB385,000/t (USD53,185/t) D/P for PrNd oxide today, and sold 7t at RMB382,000/t (USD52,777/t). "I just sold 5t of PrNd oxide yesterday at RMB390,000/t (USD53,882/t) D/P," the trader said, predicting that the price of PrNd oxide would keep relatively steady in the coming days because it just experienced a significant decline.
With a regular monthly trade volume of 15t, the trader sold about 130t last year.
