Hunan Meite increases output of LCO

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Apr 24 - Hunan Meite New Material Co., Ltd, a major producer of LCO in Hunan, increases their output to about 600t this month, up by roughly 300t MoM, a source from the company discloses to Asian metal.
"As we expand our production of LCO by 5,000t from last month, our output increases this month", said the source, mentioning that their output would stay flat next month.
With an annual production capacity of 8,500t, they expect to produce approximately 600t this month, up by about 300t MoM. Having no inventory, they produced about 2,800t in total in 2023.
At present, the mainstream prices of Chinese LCO hover at RMB170-175/kg (USD23.9-24.6/kg) delivered D/A 180 days, without much change from late last week.
Taking the downward prices of lithium carbonate into consideration, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese LCO would show a reducing trend this week.
