BEIJING (Asian Metal) 3 Apr 24 - As most consumers watched the market, American ferroniobium market prices remained stable in the past week. The mainstream prices of ferroniobium 65%min in American market hover at USD46.5-47.5/kg Nb in warehouse Pittsburgh at present, unchanged from early last week. As most suppliers hold limited stocks, insiders predict that the mainstream prices would remain stable in the coming week.
"We quote USD47.0/kg Nb in warehouse Pittsburgh for ferroniobium 65%min and could accept USD46.5/kg Nb for orders no less than 5t at the moment, the same as early last week," said a trader in the U.S., who received no inquiry so far this week, while they received one inquiry in total last week. They last sold about 5t to a regular client at around USD46.5/kg Nb early last week. Although most consumers hold wait-and-see attitudes, the trader has no sales pressure and plans to hold their price stable next week and predicts that the mainstream prices would remain unchanged in the coming week.
The trader, with a regular monthly trading volume of 10t, expects to sell around 10t this month, the same as last month. They sold nearly 100t in 2023 and around 20t so far in 2024. They hold around 5t of stocks now, unchanged from last month.
