As a consuquence, the current metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) mainstream prices in Europe hovered at USD2
A European trader revealed that he held metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) quotation firm at around USD2.80/kg in warehouse Rotterdam and considered selling at prices not lower than USD2.75/kg this Tuesday, without much change from two weeks ago . He last sold three tons at about USD2.75/kg in late March. "My clients purchased inactively and I failed to get any inquiries after my last deal, but I have no intention to lower prices due to my low profits," said the trader, who still refuses to lower prices and foresaw further steady prices in the European metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) market in the forthcoming week.
The trader, on basis of a typical monthly trading volume of five tons of metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min), sold about 65t and 15t respectively in 2023 and so far in 2024. His sales volume in March recorded at around three tons, up by two tons MoM . He holds an inventory of around three tons at present, a decrease of three tons MoM.
Another trader in Europe claimed that they still quoted about USD2.90/kg in warehouse Rotterdam for metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) and considered selling at prices not lower than USD2.80/kg today, in line with half a month ago . They concluded their latest deal in early March, when they sold 18t at around USD2.80/kg . They faced difficulties in gaining margins and refused to lower prices in spite of weak demand from consumers. "Given that suppliers refused to make concession on prices, we predicted that the metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) mainstream prices in Europe would still not fluctuate in the coming week," said the trader.
With a regular monthly trading volume of three tons of metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min), the trader sold about 18t in March, compared with no deals in February. Their sales volume so far this year recorded about 18t, compared with approximately 40t last year . They hold no stock now, unchanged MoM.
