Rama Ferro Alloys & Finance's LaCe mischmetal consumption to slide

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 27 Mar 24 - As one of a major metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) consumers in India, Rama Ferro Alloys & Finance Pvt Limited estimated a consumption volume of around two tons in March 2024, down by half a ton MoM.
"Our clients became inactive in sending orders, so we would consume only about two tons of metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) this month, compared with around two and a half tons last month," said a source from the company.
Established in 1996, Rama Ferro Alloys & Finance Pvt Limited consumes metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) as additive in the production of ferroalloys. It owns an annual consumption capacity of 42t . The company consumed about six and a half tons so far in 2024, compared with approximately 27t in 2023 . It holds an inventory of around two and a half tons at present, up by two tons MoM.
The current metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) mainstream prices in West Bengal of India stayed at INR250-260/kg (USD3.0-3.1/kg) at Indian ports, in line with one week ago.
