A producer in South China revealed that he lifted PrNd oxide quotation to about RMB353,00/t (USD49,076/t) EXW D/P and considered selling at about RMB350,000/t (USD48,659/t) at present, while he had intention to sell at around RMB348,000/t (USD48,381/t) late last week, when he concluded his latest sale of five tons at around RMB348,000/t (USD48,381/t). "I still faced difficulties in gaining margins at current price levels and planned to increase price further," said the producer, who prefers to hold inventory rather than make concession on prices. He forecasted that the Chinese PrNd oxide mainstream prices would move up by about RMB5,000/t (USD695/t) in the forthcoming week.
The producer, on basis of an annual production capacity of 1,800t of PrNd oxide, produced approximately 1,200t and 180t respectively in 2023 and so far in 2024. He expected an output of around 50t in March, without much change MoM . He doesn't have stock now, unchanged MoM.
A consumer in Inner Mongolia disclosed that his regular PrNd oxide suppliers quoted about RMB355,000/t (USD49,354/t) EXW D/P for him this Wednesday. According to his experience, he could replenish stocks at around RMB350,000/t (USD48,659/t) now, while he could purchase at about RMB348,000/t (USD48,381/t) late last week. "I last bought 20t at about RMB365,000/t (USD50,744/t) early this month," said the consumer, who intends to hold a wait-and-see attitude towards the market . As suppliers play dominate roles and keep increasing prices, he forecasted that the Chinese PrNd oxide mainstream prices would go up slightly in the coming week.
With an annual consumption capacity of 3,600t of PrNd oxide, the consumer expected to use around 170t this month, compared with about 150t last month. His consumption volume so far this year recorded approximately 380t, compared with about 1,300t last year . He holds an inventory of around 60t now, down by 20t MoM.
