Yingfeng to resume fused magnesia production

"We decide to delay the resumption of production by 1 month to early April due to the slow sales," a source from the company revealed, explaining that they halted production in early February due to the Chinese Spring Festival.

With 6 electric arc furnaces of 4,000kva and a production capacity of 40,000tpy, they produced about 35,000t in 2023 and about 3,000t so far in 2024. At present, they hold about 2,800t in stock, down by about 300t from late last month.

The current mainstream prices of Chinese fused magnesia 97%min (Ca:Si=2:1) stand at RMB2,970-3,070/t (USD412-416/t) EXW D/A 180 days, unchanged from last week.
