1 Market Highlights
As the supply of tin concentrate in Myanmar still kept tight during the past month, most suppliers held back from selling. However, most smelters had no willingness to replenish stocks discouraged by few orders. Therefore, the prices of tin concentrate remained flat this month.
During the past month, although most downstream clients purchased actively before Spring Festival, the market saw sluggish deals since the middle of February due to watchful attitudes from downstream clients. Thus, the prices of tin ingot 99.95%min kept stable this month. Due to inverted relationship between domestic prices and international prices, the supply of imported tin ingot decreased this month.
As most suppliers of tin solder kept their TCs for promotion and the prices of raw materials kept stable, the prices of tin solder unmoved this month. The market spot inventory increased during the Spring Festival and most downstream clients watched on sidelines.
