    Market Highlights

    As most downstream consumers remained active in sending inquiries, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide prices increased in January.

    Encouraged by higher production cost, Chinese ferromolybdenum prices increased in early January. As most steel mills reduced purchasing volume since mid-January, mainstream prices started to decrease.

    As most suppliers held limited stocks and stayed in no hurry to sell at low prices, downstream molybdenum chemical products and molybdenum metal prices showed uptrend in January.

    In international molybdenum market, as most suppliers competed for limited orders, market prices of molybdenum products decreased in January.
