Daqo New Energy to build silicon materials industrial park

Daqo New Energy has reached an agreement to build a silicon materials industrial park in Shihezi, Xinjiang, with investment estimated at RMB15 billion (USD2.10 billion).
The project has a planned annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes of polysilicon, 300,000 tonnes of industrial silicon and 2.2 million round silicon filaments. Phase one of the project, with investment of RMB7.5 billion (USD1.05 billion), has an annual production capacity of 50,000t of polysilicon, 150,000t of industrial silicon and 1.2 million round silicon filaments. Phase two of the project, with investment of RMB7.5 billion (USD1.05 billion), has an annual production capacity of 50,000t of polysilicon, 150,000t of industrial silicon and 1 million round silicon filaments.
