Pangang Group Mining Company has put into operation its newly-built demonstration line recycling cobalt and nickel from vanadium-titanium magnetite in Panzhihua-Xichang (Panxi) region and it is the first production line of its kind that can achieve effective recovery of cobalt and nickel from vanadium-titanium magnetite, with a cobalt recovery rate of more than 80%.
The demonstration line has an annual processing capacity of 30,000t of sulfur (cobalt) ore and concentrate and has so far produced over 100t of cobalt and nickel concentrate since first put into operation this October.
