On September 25, China Northern Rare Earth broke ground on a rare earth products reserve warehouse as the company seeks to resolve the environmental problem such as dust and loss of rare earth concentrate and oxide stacked in the open air.
The new No.5 warehouse, covering 14,040 square meters, would store 80,000t of rare earth concentrate (or LaCe oxides) when completed and is expected to effectively solve some problems such as the lack of storage area for LaCe oxide and products being stacked in the open air, as well as to reduce maintenance cost.
