China's production of ten nonferrous metals reached 6.29 million tonnes in August 2023, up by 6.1% from a year ago, and the total production in the first eight months increased by 6.8% year on year to 48.56 million tonnes, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In August, China produced 3.60 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 3.1% YoY. Production of the metal from January to August rose by 2.9% YoY to 27.23 million tonnes.
