Chihong Huize Smelting begins trial run at hot-dip galvanizing alloy technical upgrade project

On September 6, Huize Smelting Branch of Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd. began trial production at the phase one of its 60,000tpa hot-dip galvanizing alloy technical upgrade project and the first batch of zinc alloy came off the production line on the same day.
The project only took five months to commence production. Huize Smelting Branch uses self-produced zinc sheet as the raw material and upgrades its existing casting factory and idled zinc smelting furnaces for the project, which consists of two phases. The first phase with capacity of 24,000tpa of hot-dip galvanizing alloy (Zn-Al alloy) has completed the transformation of No.2 furnace which is in operation currently. The second phase will upgrade the No.1 furnace to achieve production capacity of 36,000tpa. When fully operational, the project will have a total production capacity of 60,000tpa of hot-dip galvanizing alloy.
