1 Market Highlights
In June, most producers of primary lead ingot increased the production and the supply of lead ingot climbed. Due to recovery of market demand, the prices of lead ingot increased this month.
In June, the supply of domestic lead concentrate kept tight due to active purchases from downstream clients, leading to the prices of TCs for lead concentrate decreased; although the prices of lead ingot went up, most suppliers of imported lead concentrate remained their TCs flat due to tight supply. Therefore, the prices of domestic lead concentrate and imported lead concentrate went up.
In June, the prices of recycled battery moved up. The market saw limited supply as most secondary lead ingot producers purchased actively. As most downstream clients had strong willingness to replenish stocks in order to deliver, exacerbating the tight supply of recycled battery.
