Xinjiang Xiangsheng reports titanium sponge production of 29kt in 2022

In 2022, Xinjiang Xiangsheng New Material Technology Co., Ltd. produced 29,000t of titanium sponge, 15,000t of titanium products, 62,000t of high-grade titanium slag and 310,000t of titanium concentrate.
With total investment of RMB9.8 billion (USD1.35 billion), the 30,000tpa titanium and titanium alloy project developed by the company's subsidiary Xinjiang Huatai New Material Technology Co., Ltd. commenced construction this year and is expected to begin production in late 2024. When the project reaches full capacity, the company would become the biggest producer of titanium and titanium alloy in the world with annual titanium metal output of 50,000t.
