Data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics indicated that China produced 1,095,000t of refined copper (copper cathode) in May 2023, up by 12.9% YoY; the output in the first five months of 2023 went up by 12.1% YoY to 5,204,000t.
In May 2023, China's output for copper products rose by 10.2% YoY to 1,999,000t; the output in the first five months of the year went up to 8,757,000t, an increase of 6.7% YoY.
