Minmetals Development's Q1 chrome ore sales up by 18% YoY

Minmetals Development recently reported its operating result for the first quarter of 2023. The company sold about 3.43 million tonnes of iron ore, 920,000t of coal, 190,000t of coking coal, 200,000t of manganese ore in the quarter, and its sales of chrome ore and chromium alloy increased by 18% and 93% year on year to around 260,000t and 200,000t respectively.
In Q3, the company's steel division supplied about 1.11 million tonnes of steel products to engineering projects and its operating volume of steel products increased by 32% YoY to around 2.39 million tonnes.
