BEIJING (Asian Metal) 28 Apr 23 - American yttrium oxide 99.999%min sellers lowered prices over the past two weeks in order to gain orders. Consequently, the yttrium oxide 99.999%min mainstream prices in America dropped to USD11.0-12.0/kg D.D.P. at present, a decrease of about USD0.5/kg from half a month ago. As the competition among sellers remains furious, insiders forecasted that the yttrium oxide 99.999%min mainstream prices in America would slide further in the upcoming week.
An American trader revealed that he quotes about USD12.0/kg D.D.P. for yttrium oxide 99.999%min and considers selling at around USD11.0/kg for orders no less than one ton now, while he refused to sell at prices below USD11.5/kg half a month ago. "I last sold one ton at about USD11.0/kg early this week," said the trader, who attributes the downward prices to the drastic competition among sellers. Given the abundant supply and buyers' decreasing target prices, he forecasted that the yttrium oxide 99.999%min mainstream prices in America would decline by around USD0.3/kg in the upcoming week.
The trader, with a typical monthly trading volume of three tons of yttrium oxide 99.999%min, sold approximately 40t and 30t respectively in 2022 and so far in 2023. He expects a sales volume of around 18t in April, up by 12t MoM. He hold about 20t of stocks at present, a decline of 18t MoM.
Another American trader noted that he quotes around USD13.0/kg D.D.P. for yttrium oxide 99.999%min and has intention to sell at around USD12.0/kg at present, while he didn't consider selling at prices below USD12.5/kg two weeks ago. He concluded his latest sale in late March, when he sold three tons at about USD13.0/kg. "My clients held wait-and-see attitudes and I failed to get inquiries over the past two weeks," said the trader, who foresaw downward prices in the American yttrium oxide 99.999%min market in the coming week.
