Considering that few buyers would like to build inventory and and rare inquires in spot market continues, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of European vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min would move down slightly in the coming week.
"As ferrovanadium 80%min prices kept moving down during the past week, we could hardly maintain our vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min price firm. In order to promote sales, we could accept USD8.5/lb V2O5 in warehouse Rotterdam now," said a trader in West Europe. They last sold 20t of vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min at USD8.6/lb V2O5 about one week ago. Prices of ferrovanadium 80%min they inquired dropped to the latest around USD32/kg V and their regular clients only want to purchase raw material at around USD7/lb V2O5 for the moment. Considering that downstream market couldn't offer effective support, they predict that the mainstream prices of European vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min would drop to around USD8/lb V2O5 in the coming week.
With a regular trading volume of 60tpm, they sold about 700t in 2022 and about 200t so far this year. They expect to sell about 60t this month, almost the same volume as last month as they have firm orders from regular clients. They have around 20t of regular stocks for the moment, unchanged MoM.
