BEIJING (Asian Metal) 27 Apr 23 - Sichuan Zhongrun Xinda New Material Technology Co., Ltd., one of the major silicon chrome Si42%min Cr30%min producers, predicts to increase their production in April, a source from this company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source mentioned, "We predict to increase our production of silicon chrome Si42%min Cr30%min and plan to produce around 900t in April". They only produced around 800t in March due to the weak demand.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 25,200t of silicon chrome Si42%min Cr30%min, predicts to produce around 900t in April, up by around 100t from March. They produced around 27,000t so far in 2023, and about 12,800t in 2022.
On Wednesday, the mainstream prices for silicon chrome Si42%min Cr30%min stand at RMB9,800-10,000/t (USD1,415-1,444/t) EXW D/P, in line with early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep flat as they have no plan to change their prices in the coming three days.
