Dongguan Lianhui (Kunshan branch) decreases tin solder production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Apr 23 - Dongguan Lianhui (Kunshan branch) Tin Industry Co., Ltd., one of major tin solder producers in East China, cut the tin solder output to around 30t this month.
"Due to few deals and most clients watched on sidelines, we decreased production to about 30t this month, down by nearly 5t from last month," the source noted from the company. They noted that the production of other solder products also declined and they would probably produce around 30t next month.
With an annual production capacity of 600t, the company purchases tin ingot 99.95%min from local traders to produce solder wire, solder paste and other lead-free tin solder products. They totally produced about 400t of tin solder products in 2022, holding an inventory of 5t currently.
As most downstream clients prefer to wait and see the market, the mainstream prices for tin solder Sn 99.3%min Cu 0.7%max stand at RMB224-226/kg (USD32.6-32.9/kg) EXW D/P in East China currently, down by RMB4/kg (USD0.58/kg) from yesterday. Due to sluggish deals, insiders believed that the mainstream prices for tin solder would move down in the following days.
