Dongguan GuangChen Metal reduces tin solder production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 13 Apr 23 - Discouraged by weak demand, Dongguan GuangChen Metal Products Co., Ltd., one of major tin solder producers in Guangdong, would cut the output of tin solder to about 40t in April.
"Dragged by sluggish deals in the market, we decreased tin solder production to about 40t this month, down by 20t or 30% MoM," the source said from the company to Asian Metal, adding that their output next month depends on the market conditions and couldn't be decided at this moment.
They totally produced around 500t in 2022. Now, they hold no inventory of finished product in hand. With an annual production capacity of 1,200t, the company purchases tin ingot 99.95%min to produce tin solder wire, tin solder bar and flux and cleaning agent.
On Wednesday, the mainstream prices for tin solder Sn 99.3%min Cu 0.7%max stand at RMB193-195/kg (USD28.1-28.4/kg) EXW down in South China, unchanged from yesterday. As most downstream clients watched on sidelines, insiders predict that the mainstream prices for tin solder would edge down slightly tomorrow.
