Xincheng Yongchuang to raise secondary aluminum alloy ingot output

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 23 - Xincheng Yongchuang Alloy Co., Ltd., a new secondary aluminum alloy ingot producer in East China, went into operation on March 20th and expects that its output would reach about 4,000t in April.
"Our designed production capacity is 400,000tpy, including 200,000tpy in the first phase, which already went into operation after we completed the drying of our furnaces on March 20th. We only produced about 2,000t of aluminum alloy ingot in March, but expect that the output would reach around 4,000t in April," a source from the company revealed. The company only operates one 80-ton top furnace and two 35-ton bottom furnaces at the moment, closing its old factory after putting the new factory into operation. It plans to merely do aluminum ash treatment in the future.
The company, with an annual production capacity of 200,000t, owns two furnace sets at present, each of which is equipped with one 80-ton top furnace, two 35-ton bottom furnaces and one 35-ton heat holding furnace. It holds no aluminum alloy ingot stocks for the time being.
On Tuesday, the mainstream prices of aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 in East China hovered at 18,400-18,600/t (USD2,672-2,701/t) delivered D/P, down by RMB100/t (USD14.52/t) from Monday. Owing to sluggish demand continuously seen in the aluminum alloy ingot market, producers bear great pressure of sales at present and insiders predict that mainstream prices of Chinese aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 would show a downward trend in the coming week.
