A trader in North China noted, "Our quotation for Gabonese ore Mn44%min, Fe6%max, Si6%max, P0.13%max stands at RMB41/dmtu (USD5.95/dmtu) at Tianjin port and we could accept the price as low as RMB40.5/dmtu (USD5.88/dmtu), in line with early this week". The trader received an inquiry of 1,000t at RMB40/dmtu (USD5.81/dmtu) today but they still have not close the deal . They last sold 2,000t at RMB40.5/dmtu (USD5.88/dmtu) late last week . Given the decreased prices from overseas suppliers and the sluggish demand, the trader intends to keep their price unchanged currently but predicts that the mainstream prices of Gabonese manganese ore in China would go down in the upcoming days.
The trader, based on the typical monthly sales volume of about 30,000t of Gabonese manganese ore, estimates to sell around 20,000t in April, in line with the previous month. The trader has about 40,000t of stocks at the moment.
Another trader in North China mentioned that they currently quote RMB41/dmtu (USD5.95/dmtu) for Gabonese ore Mn44%min, Fe6%max, Si6%max, P0 . 13%max at Tianjin port with concessions of no more than RMB0.5/dmtu (USD0.07/dmtu), unchanged from the beginning of this week .
