Tiancheng Zinc in full production of zinc powder

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 31 Mar 23 - Jiangsu Tiancheng Zinc Technology Co., Ltd., one of major zinc powder producers in East China, began to operate all of its 14 production facilities from March 15 and currently reaches full production capacity.
"We just had 8 facilities in operation before early March and our output in February only reached 2,000t. We started to put the other 6 facilities in operation from March 15 and we expect to produce around 2,800t of zinc powder in March", said a source from the company, adding that the production might increase further to around 3,700t in April.
The company owns 14 production facilities with a total annual production capacity of 50,000t, and currently has no zinc powder stocks.
On Thursday, mainstream prices for zinc powder 96%min 325mesh stood at RMB25,950-26,150/t (USD3,770-3,852/t) EXW, up by RMB60/t (USD8.72/t) from Wednesday. The market demand for zinc powder remains relatively soft now and consumers are cautious about purchasing. Therefore, insiders believe that mainstream prices for zinc powder 96%min 325mesh would move down in the coming week.
