European tin concentrate export prices up

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 31 Mar 23 - The current mainstream prices of European tin concentrate 60%min stand at USD24,500-24,600/metal ton FOB Europe, up by USD100/metal ton from yesterday. Due to stable consumption and tight supply, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of European tin concentrate 60%min would go up in the coming week.
A trader in UK reported, "We offered about USD24,500/metal ton FOB Europe for tin concentrate 60%min and refused any lower prices but didn't conclude any deal today due to no inquiry. We quoted around USD 24,400/metal ton with no more concession yesterday but failed to close any deal for the same reason either." While they last sold about 60 metal tons at USD24,000/metal ton last Thursday. They have cooperative mines in South America and Africa, and they had a plan to export to China recently as they knew that Chinese market kept tight supply of tin concentrate at present and they predicted the mainstream prices of European tin concentrate would go up next week.
With a typical monthly sales volume of around 300 metal tons, they exported about 200 metal tons this month, identical to last month. They hold no inventory in hand now.
"We could consider the prices as low as USD24,800/metal ton FOB Europe for tin concentrate 70%min today, up by about USD100/metal ton from yesterday, but we didn't make any deal these two days due to no inquiry", another trader in Belgium reported. While they last exported about 70 metal tons at USD24,500/metal ton on Monday this week. Due to active market and good demand, they predict the mainstream prices of European tin concentrate would go up as the following days.
Based on a regular monthly sales volume of around 150 metal tons, they export around 150 metal tons this month, in line with last month. They hold no inventory in hand for the time being.
