Chenzhou Delong decreases tin concentrate production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Mar 23 - Due to the reduction of grade in ore, one of major tin concentrate 60%min producers in Hunan, Chenzhou Delong Mining Industry Co., Ltd., declined the production of tin concentrate to about 20 metal ton in March.
"As we held a bearish attitude to the market in the early this month, we reduced tin concentrate production in the associated mine and increased the tungsten grade from 10%min to 30%min, leading to a decline in tin concentrate production this month. We produced about 20 metal tons this month, down by about 70 metal tons from last month," the source noted from the company to Asian Metal. They would probably increase production to nearly 60 metal tons ideally next month.
With an annual production capacity of 3,000 metal tons for tin concentrate 60%min, the producer produced around 610 metal tons in 2022 and about 110 metal tons this year to date. Now, they hold no inventory in hand. They selected high grade tin concentrate from tungsten-tin mixed ore and sold to traders.
Due to tight supply of tin concentrate, the mainstream prices for tin concentrate 60%min stand at RMB196,000-198,000/metal ton (USD28,538-28,829/metal ton) in Hunan currently, up by RMB4,000/metal ton (USD582/metal ton) from yesterday. Boosted by active purchases, insiders predict that the prices of tin concentrate 60%min would edge up slightly tomorrow.
