Tiancheng Graphite to restart production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 23 - Jixi Tiancheng Graphite Co., a medium-sized flake graphite producer in northeast China, is scheduled to restart operation in the middle of April and might produce 1,000t next month, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We plan to restart operation from the middle of next month and might produce 1,000t next month," said the source, who keeps close to 2,000t in stock now and once shut down in early December last year for the low temperature in winter.
With the production capacity of 60,000tpy, they produced over 15,000t in 2022 and remained out of production so far this year.
Present mainstream prices for flake graphite -194 in China keep at RMB4,600-4,800/t (USD668-698/t) EXW, stable from late last week. The purchase demand remains soft now and producers anticipate less prices early next month.
