Hengxing Manganese resumed HC ferromanganese production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 March 23 - Qinzhou Hengxing Manganese Co., as one of the major producers of ferromanganese Mn 75%min, C 8% max, P 0.2% max, S 0.03% max in China, resumed their HC production on 27th March, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source noted, "We resumed our production of ferromanganese Mn 75%min, C 8% max, P 0.2% max, S 0.03% max yesterday, but one of our equipment is still under the maintenance and we predict the maintenance would finish after two months". The producer holds 2 furnaces of 22,500kVA currently.
Based on the annual production capacity of 80,000t of HC ferromanganese, the producer plans to produce 5,000t in April, while they produced nothing in March. They have no stock at the moment.
Given the stable market, most suppliers of HC ferromanganese in China hold their prices unchanged. Hence, the mainstream prices of ferromanganese Mn 75%min, C 8% max, P 0.2% max, S 0.03% max in China stands at RMB7,500-7,700/t (USD1,091-1,119/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from late last week. Given the low inventory despite the weak demand, insiders expect that the prevailing prices of Chinese HC ferromanganese would stay flat in the upcoming week.
