Bengang Steel to overhaul one CRC production line

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 23 - As a major CRC producer in Northeast China, Liaoning Benxi Iron and Steel Group Co. (Bengang Steel) plans to conduct 10-day facility maintenance on No.3 CRC production line in the middle of April, with output to reduce by around 4,800tpd.
"We would stop No.3 CRC production line in the middle of April for 10 days' facility maintenance and the output would reduce by about 48,000t in total in the coming month," said a source from Bengang Steel, adding that this is regular facility maintenance and they will produce almost 210,000t of CRC in April, down from 260,000t in March.
Bengang Steel has three CRC production lines with an annual production capacity of 3.5 million tons. It witnessed an output of approximately 2.95 million tons in 2022 and 760,000t so far this year respectively. It holds no stock currently.
In Shanghai, the price of CRC DC01 1.0mm*1,250mm*C from Bengang Steel stood at around RMB4,800/t (USD698/t) on Tuesday, in line with Monday. Upon limited demand from downstream clients but firm prices of raw materials, CRC prices would level off in the coming week.
