Huade Tiancheng Ferroalloy decreases silicomanganese production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 28 March 23 - Inner Mongolia Huade Tiancheng Ferroalloy Co., Ltd., as one of the major producers of silicomanganese Mn 65%min, Si 17%max, P 0.25%max, S 0.08%max in China, prefers to decrease their production to 14,000t in March, a source from this company revealed to Asian Metal.
The producer noted, "Our production of silicomanganese would decrease to 14,000t this month as we plan to have the equipment maintenance in March, and we would finish the maintenance after three months". They produced about 20,000t of silicomanganese last month.
The producer, based on the annual production capacity of 250,000t of silicomanganese, holds no inventory at the moment.
As the market stays in the low position, most producers of silicomanganese in China prefer to firm their prices. Currently, the prevailing prices of Chinese silicomanganese Mn 65%min, Si 17%max, P 0.25%max, S 0.08%max stands at RMB7,150-7,350/t (USD1,039-1,068/t) EXW D/P, in line with late last week. Given the weak demand and the decreased prices of raw materials, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of silicomanganese would move down in the coming days.
