Hubei Xinzi resumes secondary lead ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 28 Mar 23 - Hubei Xinzi Regeneration Technology Co., ltd., a major secondary lead ingot 99.994%min producer in Hubei province, resumed production of lead ingot production on March 1st and produced about 12,000t in March, the source noted from the company to Asian Metal.
"We halted the production last month due to equipment maintenance and resumed production on March 1st. We would produce around 12,000t of secondary lead ingot 99.994%min this month, up by 12,000t from last month," the source claimed, adding that they would probably keep the same output next month.
Based on an annual production capacity of 200,000t of secondary lead ingot 99.994%min, they totally produce about 30,000t in 2022 and around 10,000t so far this year, holding no inventory now. Battery factories are their most important customers, among which Tianneng purchased about 6,000t a month and Lishi puchased nearly 4,000t a month.
The current mainstream prices of secondary lead ingot 99.994%min stood at RMB15,030-15,230/t (USD2,188-2,218/t) Inc VAT EXW in Hubei, unchanged from last Friday. Insiders predict that the prices of secondary lead ingot would flatten out in the upcoming days due to stable consumption from downstream clients.
